A New Christmas Quickie
After completing a new Steve D'Monster puppet, I decided to also build a new Ella the Elf puppet, and have them do a new skit on YouTube for Christmas; the final results are:

Twas the Night Before Christmas: Scarbrough Style
Not a creature was stirring, not even three squirrels.
There was no chimney, so the stockings were hung on the wall,
And the tree was decorated with bright lights and round balls.
But lurking near the tree, the one who wouldn't leave,
Was a small monster by the name of Steve.
"I can't wait to see Santa; I hope he comes soon,
I've been waiting to meet him since this afternoon!"
At that moment, there came a strange growl,
Steve's tummy was empty from his little night prowl.
The thumbprint cookies were the only thing in sight,
But Steve was then met with a plight.
Santa's understanding, no need for a quibble,
Surely he wouldn't mind if Steve had one nibble.
The cookies were good, they were so yummy,
Steve wanted to put more in his tummy.
He ate some more cookies, his mouth full of fun,
He paused to say, "When it comes to thumbprint cookies, you can't eat just one!"
As the night grew on, and Steve's eyes grew weak,
He took to the couch, hoping to still sneak a peek.
Later still, as Steve fell into a doze,
By the tree, St. Nick appeared, with his finger aside of his nose.
The jovial fellow reached down for a sweet,
Only to find Steve had already eaten his treat.
Santa knew Steve was a good kid, and didn't mean to be messin',
But he also knew he needed a lesson.
Santa filled the stockings, to fulfill each Christmas wish,
In Steve's stocking he left a fresh Christmas... fish.
Just as he came in, the way he did so,
Santa left, with a merry, "Ho-ho-hoooo!"
Darkness turned to light, no alarm or warning,
Steve lifted his head and realized, "It's Christmas morning!"
He raced to his stocking to see what Santa did bring,
Only to find this fishy something.
Steve took one look, and pondered, "How could this be?
I wonder if it's because I ate Santa's cookies."
Merry Christmas to all, enjoy your hoopla,
As for Steve... "Maybe next year I should celebrate Hanukkah."

Ella the Elf Returns
Only this time, she's on Steve's turf, instead of the other way around.
For those who don't remember, Ella the Elf is Santa Claus' Head Elf In Charge Of Stuff up at the North Pole; last year, Steve was selected to stand on duty keeping an eye on the Santa Radar Tracker System as Santa makes his journey across the globe, delivering presents to all the good lil' boys and girls over the world.
Well, that's what was supposed to happen any way, as this six-part special, entitled Steve's Inefficient Christmas, was never able to reach the production stages due to an overwhelming number of technical difficulties. At any rate, Ella the Elf is making another appearance in this year's latest Christmas entry... so, what exactly is going on here? Well, why don't you just click the play button on the player below, and see for yourself?

O Christmas Tree
Join in on the Christmas festivities, as Steve goes out into the woods to cut down his own Christmas Tree... what could possibly go wrong?

Steve's Inefficient Christmas May Be Canceled **UPDATE AGAIN**
Because my computer has been hit by a nasty virus (our old friend XP Security has returned with avengence, and is even bigger and badder than ever), and I'm having a very difficult time trying to remove it: with that said, the technicans at the repair shop feel it's pretty much a matter of time before it succumbs completely to the virus... and since I still don't have a new computer yet, and production isn't ready to begin on the "special", I may have to cancel it, unless some kind of God-given miracle can happen very soon.
UPDATE AS OF DECEMBER 11, 2011
Sorry folks, I'm having to completely cancel the "special": my computer has no sound, and Sound Recorder and Audacity have been corrupted, which means I can't do any sound editing, and my computer also no longer recognizes my digital camera, which means I can't even edit any of the actual footage I may have been able to shoot.
I'm terribly upset about this, as I was really looking forward to sharing this "special" with everybody, I was sure it would've been a funny one.
UPDATE AS OF DECEMBER 19, 2011
Actually, as it turns out, apparently Windows Movie Maker still works for some reason, I'm going to do my best to bypass this virus and continue working on the special, so Steve's Inefficient Christmas is back on, it just may not be uploaded to YouTube on Christmas Eve as was originally planned.

Coming Soon: Steve's Inefficient Christmas
![]() |
| Ella the Elf concept art |
We're still presently in pre-production, but here's what you can expect to see: the "special" will be presented in a series of three or four minute installments, as Steve keeps watch over Santa's trip around the world on Christmas Eve; hilarity is to be ensued leaving Steve in Santa's workshop up in the North Pole.
On an unrelated note, the 15-minute limit has been lifted from our new YouTube channel again, so hopefully in the future, we can share lengthily new footage with everyone in its entirty.

Steve Mention
Gotta love plugs, as my buddy and fellow puppeteer Shane Keating (otherwise known as MarshalGrover on YouTube) throws in another jab at Steve, as Bob Blob goes over his Christmas List...
